Biden Corruption Witness Gal Luft Living In Undisclosed Location As Fugitive

Just the News: Gal Luft, the Israeli professor wanted on arms trafficking charges who went missing in Cyprus, reportedly said he is alive and living as a fugitive after he skipped bail out of fear he would not get a fair trial because he says the Justice Department is trying to “bury” him to protect the Biden family.

“The chances of me getting a fair trial in Washington are virtually zero,” Luft told The New York Post in a phone call from an undisclosed country as he explained why he skipped bail. “I did what I had to do.”

Luft, a former Israel Defense Force colonel, denies the seven charges against him, which include allegations that he conspired to sell Chinese products to Kenya, Libya and the United Arab Emirates. He said he was forced to skip bail and leave Cyprus in April because of political persecution by the U.S. government.

Luft had met with FBI and Justice Department officials in 2019 at the U.S. Embassy in Brussels, where he provided information that CEFC, a Chinese state-controlled energy company, had given Hunter Biden $100,000 a month and Joe Biden’s brother, Jim Biden, $65,000 a month in exchange for their connections with the FBI and use of the family surname to promote the Chinese Communist Party’s Belt and Road Initiative.

Luft had a business relationship with a nonprofit think tank associated with CEFC, according to the Post. Luft is co-director of the non-profit think tank, the Institute for Analysis of Global Security, which received a donation of at least $350,000 from CEFC, according to court testimony reported by The New York Times in 2018.

House Oversight Committee investigators were planning on interviewing Luft before he went missing.

“When it was clear the Republicans are going to win the House or the Senate, all of a sudden comes [GOP Rep. James] Comer and [GOP Rep. Jim] Jordan and the game is changing. There will be questions and subpoenas and investigations [so] they [the administration] have to discredit me. I never thought of coming forward. Through 2020 I sat quiet like a fish,” Luft said. “I didn’t want to get caught up in this game, but when they arrested me, I had no choice but to blow it up.”

Speaking to the gun-running allegations against him, Luft said, “I was charged for a thought crime. … I was asked by a bona fide arms dealer, an Israeli friend, to inquire with a company I knew if they had an item and what would be the price of an item. This is where the conspiracy ended. No follow-up, no money, no brokering activity.”
He said the Justice Department “is trying to bury me to protect Joe, Jim and Hunter Biden.”
