Jean-Pierre Shuts Down Question About Biden Fall: ‘Things Happen’

Just the News: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday deflected when asked about President Joe Biden’s recent fall at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony.
Biden suffered a nasty fall last week on stage at the graduation ceremony, appearing to stumble before falling to his knees and eventually crashing sideways. He did not sustain significant injuries.
During the Tuesday press briefing, one reporter asked about Biden’s fall, asserting that the public has grown increasingly concerned about his health and fitness to serve following a string of falls.
The reporter asked if the White House chief of staff had examined any changes to advance procedures to prevent the president from falling, to which Jean-Pierre responded by touting Biden’s record.
Asked about concerns over Joe Biden’s health amid his recent fall and numerous other “difficulties.”

“This is a president that has had an incredibly impressive first two years, when you think about what he’s been able to get done,” she said. “And that’s what I think the American people are looking for. They’re looking for someone that can actually deliver like the president has done.”
The reporter was dissatisfied with that response, contending it did not address his question, to which the press secretary insisted that the American people were more concerned with Biden’s accomplishments.
KJP says yes Biden fell but he got back up😂
She must have missed the part where Biden required assistance from his handlers to get back onto his feet.https://t.co/C562vrgKE3— Gina Macina 🇨🇦 (@GinaMacina60) June 3, 2023
“Things happen,” she continued. “Other presidents have had similar situations as you know, and I’m sure you reported on the last president who’s had a similar situation.”
“So look, things happen,” she went on. “This is a president that delivers and will continue to deliver for the American people and that’s what he cares about.”
