Plans for “New Version” of Tucker Carlson Tonight Announced on Twitter

Tucker Carlson, recently fired from Fox News to their own detriment, made an announcement about his future endeavors last night. Rumors have swirled about why he was fired and what he will do next, but the rumor mill will have to take a break to some degree, now that he’s made his plans public.

If you subscribed to text notifications about Tucker, you received a text Wednesday evening at 7:55 Eastern, stating he had a big announcement, with a link to a Twitter video. The message was brief but clear — Tucker plans to venture out on his own, using Twitter as his main platform.

No sooner had Tucker announced his plans to use Twitter to, “tell the fullest truth [he] can”, Elon Musk announced no formal contract had been signed, alluding to the scenario that Tucker may, indeed, be a “free agent”. It is still unknown whether Fox News will let him out of his contract, but Tucker seems to be pulling out all of the stops to wrench himself free of their control.

The news sent the chronically “misinformed” news corporations into a flurry, with NBC’s reaction the “icing on the cake”. The NBC talking head inquired, “Will anybody be able to police what Carlson says or is this the point, it’s just a free for all?”

The media in this country has completely thrown off the veil of self-proclaimed impartiality in favor of demeaning the very rights that allow them the luxury to spew their hyperbole. The right to speak freely is no longer respected or revered, but rather persecuted and feared, as left-wing acolytes everywhere bemoan the inability to control Tucker on Twitter.

He addresses the naysayers in his typical succinctness:
“The rule of what you can’t say is corrupting, and you can’t have a free society if people aren’t allowed to say what they think is true.”

He goes on to say that the last big [platform] where free speech is allowed is on Twitter.

What stood out is the statement that the show will be a “new version” of the show he has had for the last six and a half years, yet Carlson did not further elaborate how, except to allude to the fact that he expects his right to speak freely will not be infringed on or controlled by anyone, including Twitter.

With all the talk of Twitter losing some of its steam, having a powerhouse like Tucker use the platform almost exclusively to produce his show will, no doubt, be a boon for the social media giant.

He wrapped up the announcement by saying, “Free speech is the main right that you have. Without it, you have no others. See you soon.”
